Keep rooms cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Window treatments (like shades, drapes or plastic films) are a cost-effective way of weatherizing your home for all seasons.

Air leaks got you chasing your tail?

Add caulk or weatherstripping to seal air leaks around doors, windows or your attic hatch.

Check for holes in air ducts

Ensure your home’s air ducts are properly sealed and insulated. Use duct sealant or metal-backed tape to block any leaks.

AC working like a dog? Regularly clean and replace air filters to quickly cut cooling costs. And make sure to schedule a tune-up with an HVAC contractor so your AC unit is cleaned properly and working at its best.

Fetch a fan for home cooling and comfort. Window or ceiling fans circulate airflow and ease the burden on your AC. Make sure your ceiling fans turn counterclockwise to push cool air down.

Don't fur-get to turn off your bathroom fan. Make no bones about it, exhaust fans do a great job removing steam and moisture during a shower. But they also draw out warm and cold air (which wastes energy).
Rearrange your fur-niture. Move couches and other objects away from vents that could block air flow.
